1. Identification details

These terms govern the relationship between Cabinet de Avocat Ioana Popescu ("the Firm", "we") and the user ("you") of the website lawyer.dbg.ro.

2. Subject of the contract

The Firm makes available, through its website, public information about the legal services offered, indicative tools (calculators), consultation booking forms and — for authenticated users — a private portal for managing files, documents and invoices.

Use of the website implies full acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

3. User account

Access to the portal is granted on the basis of personal credentials and — mandatory for the "lawyer_*" and "administrator" roles — two-factor authentication. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity carried out under your account.

You undertake to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information upon registration and to update it whenever it changes.

4. Fees and payments

The values displayed by the public calculators are indicative and do not constitute a binding offer. The final fee is agreed in writing between the Firm and the client through a separate contract.

Invoices issued through the portal are payable online via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard) or bank transfer. All prices are expressed in RON or EUR, in accordance with the invoice value; Stripe taxes and commissions are borne by the Firm pursuant to its internal policy.

5. Professional confidentiality

Information transmitted to the Firm through forms, chat or the portal is covered by attorney-client privilege, in accordance with Law 51/1995 and the Statute of the Legal Profession. Internal access to documents is restricted on the basis of roles (principle of least privilege) and all documents are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest.

6. Limitation of liability

The Firm shall not be liable for damages arising from:

• use of the results of the indicative calculators without consulting a lawyer;
• temporary unavailability of the website caused by force majeure or maintenance;
• incorrect data entered by the user;
• account compromise as a result of weak passwords or credential leaks.

7. Intellectual property

All texts, images, logos, graphics and source code of the website are the property of the Firm or its partners and are protected by applicable copyright legislation. Partial or total reproduction without prior written consent is prohibited.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time via the Delete accountpage, with a 30-day grace period (soft delete). After the grace period expires, personal data is permanently deleted, except for data that we are legally required to retain (invoices — 10 years, Law 82/1991).

9. Amendments to the terms

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically. Authenticated users are notified by email of material changes. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the new version.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts at the Firm's registered office.
